Our Story
A Legacy of Faith in Warren County
The roots of the Catholic faith in Warren County stretch back to the earliest days of settlement in the region. As communities began to grow, missionary priests traveled throughout the area, bringing the Sacraments and ministering to Catholic families.
Those early beginnings eventually gave rise to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, whose story dates to 1865. For generations, Holy Rosary has been a spiritual home where families have gathered to worship, celebrate the Sacraments, grow in faith, and serve one another.
More than 160 years later, we remain grateful for the faith of those who came before us as we continue building a vibrant Catholic community for generations to come.
1818 - Catholic Roots
Bishop Louis William Valentine Du Bourg arrives in St. Louis, helping lay the foundation for Catholic ministry throughout the region.
1865 - Holy Rosary's Story Begins
The beginning of the Holy Rosary story and a Catholic community that would serve generations of families.
